FO: Reyna shawl

img_2605Time to check another item off my must-knit list: the Reyna shawl by Noora Laivola!

I actually finished this all the way back in August. But I’ve worn it loads since then, and I am super happy with how it turned out!
This was my first attempt at doing any kind of lacy, complicated work. I had to tink several rows more than a few times, but my OCD paid off in the end!

And I am head over heels in love with this yarn! This was my first time ordering yarn from Knit Picks, and I wasn’t disappointed. This is their Hawthorne line in the color Laurelhurst. It was a dream to work with. It’s mostly wool (There’s a bit of nylon in it too.) so it’s amazingly warm despite the piece itself being so light and airy. I’ve since ordered more of their yarn, and I just can’t say enough good things about it, though I used to be hesitant about ordering yarn online.

Now, before I sign off for the night I want to wish you all a happy new year! I know I’m very, very late. This is my first entry since fall! I feel bad! I’m going to work on posting more often though. I’m thinking I’ll have to cut down on the length of my posts as most of them are rather wordy and that makes it hard for me to finish them up in a timely manner. We’ll see how it goes though!

Happy new year again; I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season! I’m very excited to continue sharing my yarn adventure with you all, and I’m looking forward to sharing in yours this year as well!

  1. I suppose so. But I like to wear it as it’s shown on the pattern page (Like a scarf, basically.) so it looks much more modern that way. 🙂
